Immigrant

In 1968, opposed to the war in Vietnam (see Anti-war Activist and Federal Fugitive), and my deferments having run out, I left for Canada with my then wife. I became a "landed immigrant," continuing with that status for the next eight and a half years until I was pardoned by President Carter on his first full day in office.
