Fossil Hunter

I began hunting fossils in my youth and renewed my interest during my graduate years at the University of Kentucky, occasionally digging fossils at Clay's Ferry. I began yet again when I started the Skeptiseum (online at www.skeptiseum.org). In the accompanying photo I am digging fossils at the Penn Dixie paleontological site at Blasdell, N.Y. (July 3, 2010), where I found some common specimens of circa 380 million years ago (counterclockwise from left: segment of trilobite, brachiopods, horn corals, crinoids (sea lilies).
