Archives Assistant
While not a professional archivist (a keeper of public records), I have been a member of the Kentucky Council on Archives (mid-1980s) and have produced compilations of records for archives (see Cemetery Records Compiler), as well as writing and publishing abstracts of archival records (including Morgan County, Ky., wills and court orders) As a board member of the Historical Confederation of Kentucky, I served on a committee to help identify and preserve local-history archival materials. I have also maintained my own considerable investigative case files (which may one day be donated to an archive) and published works to aid archivists (notably Pen, Ink, and Evidence). I donated my collection of antique writing materials to the library archives (Department of Special Collections, King Library) at the University of Kentucky.
